Hello,

My name is Joel Garcia and I have been a teacher for 18 years.  I first started to work in the field of education back in 1995 in the city of Los Angeles.  I graduated from California State University San Marcos and began my career as a teacher in Escondido, CA.  I transferred to San Ysidro in 2001, where I was elected to be a 5th grade teacher.  I have been a bilingual teacher in San Ysidro in the grades of 4th, 5th, and 6th.  I enjoy to work with students in the STEM fields which have given us opportunities to partner with resources and agencies such as the US Navy, BioTech Companies, and San Diego Universitites.
