  • Please read below for Important Information Regarding the 2023-2024 School Year

    The South County SELPA CAC is an advisory committee with the purpose of providing resources and information regarding special education while also providing parents of students with disabilities an opportunity to meet and collaborate with one another. If you are interested in becoming a Voting Member of the South County SELPA CAC, please complete the application found at the link below. All applications must be submitted by April 30, 2024. Per the South County SELPA CAC Bylaws, San Ysidro School District may have the following Voting Members:

    • 1 Special Education Teacher
    • 1 General Education Teacher
    • 1 Parent of a Student with a Disability

    The District’s Governing Board is ultimately responsible for appointing CAC Voting Members upon closure of the application timeline.
    An application is not required to attend SELPA CAC meetings and the District encourages parent, teacher, and community member attendance at the monthly CAC meetings. A link to the monthly meeting schedule can be found here  https://www.sdcoe.net/special-populations/selpas/scselpa/cac

    El South County SELPA CAC es un comité asesor con el propósito de proporcionar recursos e información sobre educación especial, mientras que también proporciona a los padres de estudiantes con discapacidades la oportunidad de reunirse y colaborar entre sí. Si usted está interesado en convertirse en un miembro con derecho a voto del South County SELPA CAC, por favor complete la solicitud que se encuentra en el enlace de abajo. Todas las solicitudes deben presentarse antes del 30 de abril de 2024.
